Like his friends Sergio Valente and Vidal Sassoon, John Jay Grisaffi of New Orleans could have gone anywhere, but he always remained devoted to his hometown, his team, his clients, and the students who are learning to find their own way at John Jay.

Today four of John Jay’s nieces and a large family of long-time stylists (many of whom graduated from John Jay) continue his legacy. At John Jay, we pride ourselves on making students in our cosmetology school and esthetician program feel like family, too. And while our founder is an icon, we’re focused on the future.
